What started as an unexpected career opportunity turned into a field April has come to love. After applying for what she believed was a data entry position early in her career, she discovered the role was actually in medical billing. That led to earning an Associate’s degree in Medical Billing and Coding, and today, April enjoys helping keep our Outpatient Clinic division's patient accounts accurate and supporting the billing process behind the scenes. Born in Junction City, Kansas, April has lived in Omaha ever since her family relocated during her father’s Army service. She describes herself as having “a heart of gold” and is always willing to help others. Outside of work, April enjoys camping, boating, traveling and spending time with family and friends — especially attending her children’s and grandson’s events. She and her husband, David share their home with their children, grandson, their Great Dane MaSuka, and cat Catniss.
