Honoring the Life and Legacy of RehabVisions’ Founder, Joel Larmore
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of RehabVisions’ founder and Chairman of the Board, Joel Larmore.
Joel passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 with his family by his side.
Joel Larmore built RehabVisions — and later, Cariant Health Partners — on a simple but powerful belief that care should be compassionate, patient-centered and rooted in genuine connection. Since 1983, that philosophy has shaped who we are and how we support the partners and communities we serve across the country.
Joel wasn’t just our founder—he was the heart of RehabVisions.
His values influenced every decision he made, and they continue to guide us in all that we do. Joel was devoted to his family—his wife, Sharon, his children Amy (Rob) Daniels, Emily (Josh) Cooper and Doug (Liz) Larmore, and his seven grandchildren.
Bringing his “family-first” mindset to RehabVisions, Joel created a supportive environment where his team members could grow and thrive.
Joel often said his father’s advice to take the “slow and steady” route shaped his approach to leadership and helped build a lasting legacy in healthcare.
“For those of us lucky enough to know him, Joel was more than a leader—he was a mentor and a friend,” said Darrell Metcalf, CEO of RehabVisions. “His wisdom, kindness and vision have left an incredible impact on all of us.”
As a proud University of Colorado alumnus, Joel gave back by serving on their foundation board and creating a scholarship to support the next generation of physical therapists. His commitment to education and the future of the physical therapy profession will continue to inspire young therapists for years to come.
Joel always planned carefully for the future, and thanks to his foresight, RehabVisions will carry on Joel’s mission to provide access to highly skilled and compassionate rehabilitation therapy to the communities we serve.
As we remember Joel and celebrate his life, we’re reminded of the legacy he’s left behind. It’s in the care we provide, the teams we support and the lives we touch every day.
Thank you, Joel, for everything.
