Third Generation: Hanna Lowther’s Legacy of Healing

Hanna Lowther Joins RehabVisions at Lake Regional as Third-Generation Staffer

Hanna Lowther, SLP, recently joined the RehabVisions speech therapy team at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. What makes Hanna’s addition particularly special is that she is now the third generation of her family to work at Lake Regional.

A graduate of the Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Hanna first caught the attention of Chris Marx, Director of Talent Acquisition at RehabVisions, during a Mizzou career event.

Hanna’s initial goal was to secure a pediatric speech therapy position. While she does work with children in the North Kansas City school system, Hanna recently agreed to also work with RehabVisions on a PRN basis, providing her compassionate and highly-skilled care, as needed, to Lake Regional’s patients.

Karen Christensen (left) and Laurie Lowther spent significant parts of their careers at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, MO.

“My grandmother, Karen Christensen, spent the majority of her nursing career at Lake Regional—25 years in total,” said Hanna. “I love telling people I meet around Lake Regional who my grandmother was because everyone adored her.”

Hanna’s mother, Laurie Lowther, followed in her mother’s footsteps to become a nurse at Lake Regional. Laurie currently serves as the program director at Lake Regional’s Wound Healing Center.

For Hanna, working at the same hospital as her mother and grandmother is not only special, but also underscores the power of relationships in the legacy of healing.

Through the collective efforts of our dedicated therapists and the commitment of our Talent Acquisition team, RehabVisions helps foster connections for our hospital partners while creating meaningful career paths for therapy professionals like Hanna.
