In November 2016, RehabVisions acquired an outpatient clinic in Española, New Mexico—Española Sports Medicine.

The first half-year of RehabVisions’ ownership of this outpatient clinic has proven a success. We were able to hire all existing staff of the clinic and promote their long-time employee, Clair Bradbury, PT to rehab director. “We saw in Clair the skills we look for to lead our therapy departments,” Director of Operations Steve Kinkead, SLP said. Clair visited RehabVisions’ home office and attended the annual managers’ meeting in April. “She’s doing wonderfully,” he said. “And the staff already loved her so that’s perfect.”

RehabVisions has focused the first six months of this relationship on making it a smooth transition. Steve said we’ve changed the clinic to a new EMR system, added and upgraded equipment, and provided support in all areas of operations. Eight different home office employees have made a site visit to Española since November, everyone from HR to compliance to accounting.

Most recently Director of Marketing Stacy Ashley Murphy visited Española Sports Medicine and took along a professional photographer. “Our plan is to use the photos to create a functional website that features the therapists and an online patient portal,” she said. The photography will also be used for updated advertising. “And we’re going to streamline the brand a bit with a consistent logo and new signs.”

The second half of the year will be focused on marketing and hiring additional therapy staff to allow for growth and program development. “We’re excited about the opportunities that await us in this community,” Steve said.

While the majority of our contacts are in the Midwest, this Northern New Mexico outpatient clinic has brought with it a new region to experience. Our employees are very proud of their small, tight-knit community, and we are proud to be providing services in this environment.
