What made you choose RehabVisions for your clinical experience?

My fiancé (now husband) was living and working in Dalhart as a teacher and coach, and we were hoping to stay in the area after graduation. I chose my clinical sites based on location, hoping one of them might become a full-time job. Dalhart offered the chance to do a little bit of everything across multiple settings, which was perfect because I wasn’t sure yet which area of rehab I wanted to specialize in.

When did you realize that RehabVisions was the right place to begin your career?

I really enjoyed my rotation and the variety of patients and settings I’d be working with. Growing up in the area made the decision even easier—this is home for me. My fiancé and I both wanted to stay in the community, and RehabVisions offered a role where I could keep growing clinically in a mixed setting.

What do you enjoy most about working with RehabVisions?

I love working across multiple settings and treating a wide range of injuries and conditions. I also really appreciate the continuing education opportunities. In a mixed setting, I use everything I learn, and RehabVisions makes it easy to pursue courses that help me grow and specialize in areas I’m passionate about.

What advice would you give students thinking about a career with RehabVisions?

Look for a job where you’ll have opportunities to grow, learn and expand your skill set. RehabVisions has given me all of that. They support continuing education, help pay for CEUs and encourage you to explore new clinical areas. That isn’t always the case everywhere.

Do you have a favorite memory from your student or early career days?

One of my favorites was working with a student-athlete throughout his entire recovery. I was at every game—small-town life and being a “coach’s wife” means you get the full experience! Watching him progress from injury through full return to sports was incredibly rewarding.

A Mentor’s Perspective

Kate’s former clinical instructor and current boss, Stephanie Foust, PT, ScD says working with her has been a joy:

“Kate was eager to learn and brought the newest research with her. Even as a student she took great care of her patients. We worked great together then, and we work great together now. We push each other, and we both want what’s best for our patients.”

RehabVisions invests in its people and creates opportunities for growth across every stage of a therapist’s career.
