EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree (A.A.), of PTA.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Physical Therapist Assistant board certification and licensure according to state regulations.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to relate positively, professionally and cooperatively with others.
Ability to perform the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Mobility, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, walking, ability to move and/or lift up to 70 pounds with or without assistance, fine hand coordination, ability to hear, ability to read and write, ability to remain calm under stress.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The very nature of health care work indicates a potential exposure to communicable diseases. In addition you must be tolerant of working with patients who may be recovering from surgeries, illness and wounds. Exposure to bodily fluids is not uncommon especially in hospital and nursing home settings.
